Intense cherry red color and violet reflections. Clean, bright. With good intensity in nose, where aromas of ripe red fruits appear, combined with mineral touches and black licorice, as well as the presence of smoke and balsamic notes. The palate is structured and unctuous, with pleasant oak leaves. Fresh, balanced, and with good structure.
These head pruned vines are an average age of 90 years old. Located on hillsides at an altitude between 400 and 600 meters with mostly clay soil and presence of sand in the highest areas.
Grapes harvested by hand and transported in boxes to the winery, where they are selected on a table. We perform a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperature for 5 days in stainless-steel tanks. Afterwards the alcoholic fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature during 7-10 days. The post-fermentative maceration is carried out for approximately 10 days, and once finished, the wine is brought to French oak barrels where it will remain for 4-6 months. Once bottled the wine rests in the bottle for at least 2 months.
