This Mondeuse from Savoie is farmed biodynamically by Pascal Quenard, a 3rd generation vigneron from the viillage of Chignin. The Mondeuse grape is the indigenous red varietal in Savioe. It is a light to medium bodied wine, aged in nuetral oak and stainless steel. I like to say it falls somewhere between a Gamay and a Syrah. Pairs well with poultry, pizza and pasta as the region is very close to the Italian border.
