This Roussanne from Savoie is farmed biodynamically by Pascal Quenard, a 3rd generation vigneron from the viillage of Chignin. "Sous les Amandiers" translates to "under the almond trees", a reference to where the vineyard is located. The style of Roussanne that is coming out of this region is our personal favorite. Due to the elevation, about 3500 feet above sea level, the cool climate gives us a more lean and laser focused wine. This is not the cloying, full bodied Roussanne that you find in California.
